RTE & Poclain Hydraulics choose SynerDeal’s technology and purchasing expertise.

SynerDeal, the First European Sourcing Agency, signed new agreements with two key players in the power and automotive sectors.

RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Electricité), the company that runs France’s high voltage and extra high voltage public power transmission system) chose SynerTools, SynerDeal’s shared online sourcing platform, to streamline its calls for tenders and thereby enhance its sourcing department’s productivity. RTE typically runs complex calls to tender, targeting a short list of pre-screened and cleared potential suppliers. SynerDeal’s eSourcing platform, therefore, will help RTE oil exchanges throughout the consultation process and cut costs in the subsequent reverse auction.

Poclain Hydraulics, for its part, approached SynerDeal in search of a way of cutting its purchasing costs and increasing its margin, swiftly yet permanently. It chose to run a version of SynerValue in its firm. The goal was to put purchasing practices through a far-reaching – and efficiency-boosting – overhaul. SynerValue will thus enable Poclain Hydraulics to assess its purchasing portfolio, set up an eSourcing platform to share sourcing operations, and intensify competition among potential suppliers as a means of ensuring it receives the best price on the market.
