SynerDeal, Europe’s leading Sourcing Agency, today announced the acquisition of 14 new clients in 2004, including Ahlstrom, Carbone Lorraine, Champagne Louis Roederer, LISI, Poclain Hydraulics, RTE, Sogefi Filter Division (Filtrauto) and Trèves.
2004 was a year of tremendous growth for SynerTools, the eSourcing platform which SynerDeal makes available to its clients.
The number of users of SynerTools increased by 41% compared with 2003 which represents an increase of 35,600 users including 4,769 buyers and 30,847 suppliers. In 2004, 2,884 eSourcing tenders were launched over the SynerTools playforms deployed at SynerDeal’s clients. There are now 26 SynerTools platforms in operation.
The platform has been enhanced with advanced functionality such as SynerTools PPM (Purchasing Performance Management), which enables a company to capitalise on internal Purchasing know-how and generate indicators used to monitor Purchasing performance.
SynerTools is now available in five languages: French, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
Other 2004 milestones:
-
In order to cope with its fast-growing operations, SynerDeal has been recruiting additional staff, especially in France with the opening of a new office in Toulouse.
-
SynerDeal also opened an office in Hong Kong in order to support the growing number of users of its SynerTools platform in Asia.
-
The launch of the SynerTools Users Club: this initiative grew from clients’ desire to share their experience of deploying SynerTools and exchange Purchasing best practices.
2005 prospects
SynerDeal has set itself two strategic aims for 2005: to be in a position to assist companies with their operations in low cost countries, such as China, with the appointment of Ming Li as Head of Sourcing in that country, and formalising the company’s Purchasing Change Management range of services based on the SynerTools platform.
